when I say "hold weight" I'm speaking to both the grading and retention lol. Intro/ lower level courses are MC heavy, can be the tool to measure retention and proof, usually not much to conceptualize in those courses. Higher level courses MC then becomes less about retention more about critical thinking. I just thought your post was a little misleading because while there may be in your words "a lot of MC in college", once you reach a certain level even as an undergrad you still have to be able to conceptualize what you've learned.
